The resident of the ship is the hibernating being known as Nulverak The Eternal, an ancient alien life form who gains sustenance by draining the potent energies from those around him. After eons of draining worlds, the foul being entombed himself in his makeshift prison of a ship, drifting through the cosmos so that he might never feast again. When the Premier arrives at Farlynd 8 to begin evacuating colonists, the crew comes up with a brilliant plan to launch Nulverak's ship into the highly unstable Meganova, where the ancient alien would feast on the energies found there, making the star stable and saving the lives of the colonists. Synopsis: After the frenzied Battle of Andoria Prime, a crippled Premier limps towards the fringes of Federation space to confront the wily Klingon Captain Glossk and his remaining mercenaries. The crew seems divided between those who support the Captain's daring plan, and those who find it reckless to charge towards danger with the Premier so badly wounded. The time for debate is brief, however, as a final showdown between the Premier and Glossk takes place in the mysterious Hull Sea, the place where the Premier had made its maiden voyage. Still outgunned and outnumbered, the Premier use a ghost from Glossk's past to sow dissent among the mercenaries who have aligned themselves with the Chuul'Vaz and her brutal Master. After a message from a former gunner who served under Captain Glossk reveals the frivolousness with which the Klingon Captain sacrifices his crew's lives, his last two mercenary ships abandon him. With the battle now one on one, the master of the Hull Sea, the mechanical grim reaper known as L'odan arrives to pass judgment on Glossk, and the sentence is indeed grim. After the Chuul'Vaz and its Captain are brought low, the Premier celebrate with a rather curious wedding ceremony and return to Earth Spacedock to enjoy some well-deserved shore leave.
